As you all know, Adio graduated and left us!! But Krome is still around.

Rome, Ghost DJ Sana and some new DeeJays (DJ Darren, Sandman and ChAse) are all still kickin' it Krome Style at uicradio.org every Thursday at 8pm CST!

Be sure to tune in this season and get introduced to some AMAAAZING Ppop! For those that are unaware of what "Ppop" is, it's popular music from the Philippines! (It's actually really good by the way.) Don't be shy, and sure to tune in every Thursday ready for us to take you away to music heaven! We still play the best in Kpop, Cpop and Jpop too.

First! Two weeks ago Krome Radio had it's first EVER International show celebrating April Fool's Day!! We played music from our favorite Kpop, Cpop and Jpop artists as well as other artists we all know and love. It was great fun! We know WE had fun when Spice Girls' "Wannabe" started playing. Needless to say... we turned the studio into Klub Krome. It was awesome. It was a banging show, and if you missed it... well, you missed a good one.

Then, last week we had a DJ Sana (Resident Ghost DJ) playlist! We featured ALL new songs on Krome Radio. It was BLAST!!

Last Week, Krome was hosted by the Sandman and her pal, Tam Tam! It was GREAT fun! New voices and stories on Krome, was a crazy time!

THIS WEEK! Rome AND Adio were back in studio! Adio, sadly was sick (hence the theme of the show). This week's playlist, truly, was not one to miss. It was an off regular Krome type playlist, it was awesome but not the usual flavor. It was, in a word, AMAZING. Hey all, thanks to all that tuned in and hit us up while we were on-air! The Krome family keeps growing; that's really awesome! This week we announced that our Interview for NEXT week will be JOHNNY PHLO!! Fantastic right? There will be a post coming up soon about that.

Get "Jiggy!" - F.Cuz's debut track released!

Earlier today, F.Cuz finally released their MV for their debut track, "Jiggy." Listen to it here:

The boys are scheduled to have a performance on Music Bank (and later Music Core, then finally Inkigayo) this week, so look forward to it.

Now that the boys have officially debuted, what are your thoughts on their track? I have to admit, it is not quite what I was expecting, but I was pleased nonetheless. For those of you (like me) who thought it gave off an extremely cute vibe, and for those (not like me) who are not a fan of the overall feel of the video, fear not, as it has been disclosed that F.Cuz will be releasing a "Version 2" of their MV later this month which will showcase more of their manly side.

Rome's Rant: Tiana

Disney's latest awesomeness came out last year; "Princess and the Frog." If you haven't seen it yet, I have no idea what the hell you're waiting for. Stop reading this, go see it, then comeback. I'll wait.

Anyway, Tiana is the latest addition to Disney Royalty. Whether or not she'll fit in with the other Princesses is another story but she has definitely carved a spot for herself in my heart...
It's not only because she's African American either, that's, if you can believe, one of the last things I think about.

She displays a different kind of strength from all the other Princesses. The grace she carries herself with is unique to her alone as well. One thing about Tiana that most of the other princesses do not have is a flaw. The funny thing is, the 'flaw' she has is something that makes her an attractive characater.

Stepping out of the movie. Check out Brandy in her Tiana-esque dress! Mhmm... Uhm, Disney... you got some 'splaining to do with this... These dresses... and hairstyles are really similar.

I stalked... err searched google... looking for the women portraying Tiana, this one stole my heart. She is freaking awesome!! Her poses are no where near awkward and she looks like she knows what she's doing! So, cheers to her. She's... amazing.

'Why is this on Krome Radio's blog?' You ask. Well, I've seen the movie and the soundtrack has grown on me like crazy. Being a freak... err fan of Disney I often check out what my favorite songs sound like in other languages. I am waiting for the day youtube has the Korean, Japanese and Chinese version of the songs from this movie. It's gonna be something to see how they make it work!

Rome's Rant: Remembering TVXQ!

So, I've said before, it can be hard to 'Keep the Faith.' I'm having a hard time myself.

After a looong talk with EmpressB7, who's always helps me out in TVXQ! matters, and listening to the first second of the new 'Jiggy' F.Cuz teaser (which sounded a bit like "Hi Ya Ya") - I suddenly had the urge and desire to listen to "Hi Ya Ya." After that, I listened to another song by them, and another and another.

So to fans having a hard time keeping the faith, I hope these videos help you out... Let's remember our boys together!

This is Hi Ya Ya. Check out Max's acting... so good! Yunho does his 'googley' eye thing, LOL. Haha, and 'cam whore' JJ can't seem to stop trying to seduce the camera.

F.Cuz Releases Trailer for their MV!

With the time ticking away until F.Cuz's release, a trailer has been released for their upcoming single, entitled "Ziggy" (or "Jiggy").

It's a short trailer, and there's no voice in the track, but it gives listeners a feel for what kind of tempo to expect for the song. After hearing it, I really like the upbeat and happy feeling it has, while still managing to retain a level of sophistication and simplicity in the dress and backdrop. Also, the members look much different from their teaser photos and such (I was almost unable to recognize YeJun). Hopefully the full MV will change the mind of anyone still a little unsure on this new group!

When things like this arise, I think it's most important to present the facts, and not get caught up in all of the rumors. I will start by presenting what is known about the current situation, and will leave any personal comments for the end. Amongst all of the confusion of rumors, it is helpful to have a clear distinction between the facts and anything else.

- Hankyung has filed a request for the termination of his contract from SM.
- There was a phone interview with Hankyung's laywer, Kim Jinwook. Below is the transcript:

Super Junior's Chinese Member Hankyung has filed a litigation at the Seoul District Court on the 21st at 1pm about the effect of his exclusive contract.

Reporters are currently on a phone interview with Hankyung's (who is in China) lawyer, Kim Jinwook. Lawyer Kim said, indeed he has filed a litigation about terminating the contract with SM, but to whether Hankyung will continue Super Junior's activities, it has been undecided.

[*] -It has been heard 2 types of litigation were filed today.
"It is confirmed that 2 litigations have been filed against the exclusive contract to not be valid and to terminate the contract. Simply put, the former says to terminate the exclusive contract and the latter is saying that until the exclusive contract is terminated, and until legal effect of the termination has taken place, (he) will be able to act in accordance of temporary activities at (his) own will."

"This is hard to answer. When the statement is released, it will be answered."

[*]-The main point of this litigation is similar to Dong Bang Shin Ki 3 member's exclusive contract?
"Majority speaking, it is almost similar. Hankyung's contract is valid for 13 years, there are indeed many unfair clauses, so (he) decided to file the litigation."

[*]-Has he been contacting the 3 members of DBSK?
"I am not very sure. Hankyung will state his own stand as soon as possible."

[*]-Has the first date of the trial been decided?
"At the moment, not yet. The full situation has been sorted out properly. DBSK's sequestration contract has been terminated, and the process of applying it to finishing the statement, takes about 2 months. Hankyung does not want to spend such a long time. DBSK's situation has mediation in between, and has undergone trial a few times, so the time spent has been pretty long, we hope that Hankyung's litigation will be solved as soon as possible."

[*]-Did Hankyung think of continuing activities as part of Super Junior or will he leave the group?"
"That I am not too sure. As for Super Junior's activities, up till now, there has been no decision made."

Ent.163.com has contacted SJ-M's manager Kim Min Wook (?) to respond to Han Geng's opting out. Once the news of Han Geng terminating the contract spread, Ent.163.com surveyed fans. 80% of the fans think that it is SM's doing of cooking up publicity for Super Junior's Asia tour next year. To why they say it's a form of cooking up publicity, Kim Min Wook declined to respond but only repeated "Thank You" non-stop and hurriedly hung up the phone.

Rome's Rant: Skip Beat!

OK, so it happened again. My latest OBSESSION is:
Skip Beat.

Guys... this show is amazing.

Skip Beat is about a girl (Kyoko) who, when about 3 or 4, was left in the care of this well to do family who had a son (Sho) she fell hard for. When older, Sho leaves for Tokyo to pursue his acting career and asks Kyoko to leave with him. Of course, she does.

In Tokyo, they live in this luxury apartment which SHE has to pay for, she works two jobs, pays ALL the bills, cooks his meal, etc... He, in turn, treats her like sh.t. But she sees it as him being tired from work and his frustrations over trying to beat Japan's heart-throb: Ren Tsuruga. Whatever.

One day she delivers food to his work and over hears his true feelings about her. He says she's plain, boring and is just using her to take care of him. She swears revenge on him and he says unless she enters the showbiz world, she would never get close enough to even touch him. So, she does what any vengeful person does, and decides to enter showbiz.

OK, that's all in the first episode. But it gets so so much better. Listen to Rome. Check it out. I havent watched an anime or read a manga in a while, let alone one I've enjoyed as much as I have this one, so... it comes HIGHLY recommended.

Taiwan has plans of making this drama with the beloved Ariel Lin, who, after much thought, I believe can pull the role of Kyoko off, and Jerry Yan as Ren. The anime gets really intesnse. It's about acting and how to properly execute and convey a character. As an anime, it's easy to get caught up and believe that the character really did become another character.

It's gotta be incredibly hard for a real actress to do that. But, I believe that if anyone was to do it, Ariel can. She's my favorite actress (little known fact) and she does great work. As for Jerry.... well... he can pull off the "mean" part of Ren... and the aloofness. Those are the characters Jerry always plays. I'm a bit afraid that Ren will turn into a Dao Ming Si or a Dong Fang Xian. With Jerry, I can see how he would play Ren... that wouldn't be the real Ren. I'm anxious to see how this drama would progress.

Japan has a freaking video game of this show! You KNOW it's good for something when there's a video game. So, if you're bored... looking for something to get into, or check out. Check this out for sure.

An Update on F.Cuz Videos

With all the publicity these four are getting, it's difficult to think their debut is just less than a month away!

Here we get to see just a bit of maknae YeJun acting silly for the camera. There is a dance in this video...F'Cuz's dance for their debut single, perhaps? We also get to see a large smattering of their clothes. (And who else is excited for Kan's solo pictures? Based on the photos of him in that jacket...I can't wait)

With all these teasers being released, it makes me more excited for the real thing! The boys already look like they have their dance moves in sync, which is always a good thing. And, we already saw the members showcase their vocals and abilities for us.

SHINee Photoshoot for Dazed and Confused

Photoshoots for magazines are great ways to showcase a person or group's charisma, and the preview of SHINee's "Dazed and Confused" photoshoot is oozing just that.

Even with a relatively new group like SHINee, the members are able to show us that they can each take a very mature and sophisticated picture. A preview of the photo spread has been released, and the concept for this photoshoot is very unique. It appears the members of SHINee are puppet masters and, in different pictures, they have different puppets; from holding their coat jackets as puppets to one another, SHINee reminds us what a teaser is supposed to do.

Here are the rest of the pictures that have been released. I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of the face paint is, but it looks really interesting.

Also, for those who have not seen it already, SHINee released a behind-the-scenes video of the photoshoot just yesterday. I've included it at the bottom of the post to take a look.

Jung Young Hwa for Vogue Girl

Jung Yong Hwa, more commonly known as "Shinwoo" from the hit drama "You're Beautiful," will be featured in Vogue Girl Magazine. In his interview he wills speak about his role in the drama as well as his rise in popularity due to the drama.

Jung Yong Hwa debuted as pasrt of the group CN Blue, and is under the same entertainment company as FT Island. CN Blue has been active in Japan and is planning on making a Korean debut.

We'll have to wait until the magazine comes out to see all the photos, but here are a few preview photos to whet your appetite until that time!

Now, most people know, I am not a fan of "cute" at all. 'Gee' was not my thing. As much as I LOVE and ADORE TVXQ!, when I first saw "Balloons" I... well, that's in the past. Sulli is the only "cute" I have EVER warmed up to. So, this was awesome

Year End Look at Girl Groups: 1

A whole bunch of girl groups came out this year, no can deny it was the year of females in Kpop. We had former girl groups make comeback, we have active girl groups make comebacks and we have new girl groups debut!

Korean girl groups are trying to make a name for themselves. Not only do they have to beat out the boy groups, they have to stand out in all the girl groups and once they’ve accomplished both these tasks, they have to beat out the veteran groups with vastly more fans. Few make it and most get lost amongst the crowds, because, at times, it takes more than talent to make it.

So, who do you think will come out on top next year? Who's comeback will blow us away "Genie" or "Abracadbra" style?

The girl groups that stuck out to me where f(x), 2NE1, and... that's about it. Kara and T-ara stuck out, but because they DIDNT stick out. 4minute was good too, but... I couldn't identify them or their sound in a see of Kara and T-ara, unfortunately. While we have played each of these groups songs on the radio, it was hard to single a group out and say, "aha! that's [group name]!" no matter how jamming the song was. For me, 2NE1 began to sound the same... their songs all had the same-ish tune to them.
My predictions are that one or two of the other girl groups will make a great comeback next year. And people will be FORCED to watch them, they wont be able to look away kinda Like B.E.G's comeback.
I'm hoping the 2NE1 has the "Genie" effect. What I mean by that is, they will comeback better... Not to say they are bad now, I'm just disappointed. I feel like there was a bait and switch deal with them. I hope for them to comeback with something that will command my attention and keep it. Not just a different hairstyle.

You're Beautiful DVD to contain 20 Episodes!

It has been announced that the Director's Cut Edition DVD set of the hit drama "You're Beautiful" will contain four extra episodes from what was broadcasted on air.

The directors felt that it would be unjust to not be able to expand on Jeremy's (Lee Hongki) and Shinwoo's (Jung Yong Hwa) stories, as the drama focused mainly of the relationship between Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk) and Go Minam (Park Shin Hye).

I really did feel that the other characters, especially Hongki, did not have nearly as much screen time as they should have had. It would be nice to learn some more backstory on the other characters...like if their "legends" are really true! At any rate, hopefully when this is released we can finally have closure for the series.

Now that you guys have seen the videos, what do you think of them? Do you think hey have what it takes to make it in the current industry? Do you think they're just like every other group ou there and will struggle to become popular? Anything else?

After watching these videos, I feel like they are clearly talented. They all seem to be able to bring something different to the group, so I really feel like they have the ability necessary to make it.

An Introduction to the Members of F.Cuz

With veteran groups like SHINee and 2PM currently promoting and dominating the music charts, the new boy group F.Cuz seems to already be eking out a strong following.

The group was announced with nothing more than a picture of the son of a famous trot singer. The first member to be revealed, LeeU, got a lot of attention for his good looks, but many were left wondering about his vocal ability.

Then, continuing their mysterious method of promotions, another member, YeJun, was revealed the next day. It was revealed that YeJun is the maknae of the group (he is the youngest member in the group) and is also the lead vocalist.

By now, F.Cuz had garnered interest due to the unique concept and style they seemed to present. Not losing momentum, their entertainment company, a relatively unheard-of company pre-F.Cuz, CAN&J Entertainment, kept things interesting by revealing another member the next day. Kan showcased his dancing ability and further garnered interest for the group.

By now, many people took notice of this yet-to-debut rookie group, not only for their good-looks, but for their undeniable talent. On the fourth day, the leader of the group, Jinon, was revealed. He showcased his rapping ability for the fans. And thus, the members of F.Cuz were all revealed.

For those of you that have seen the teasers, what do you think of them so far? After seeing all of the teasers, I really feel that they have the talent and charisma to do really well. From LeeU's soothing vocals to Jinon's powerful rapping; from YeJun's clear and melodic voice to Kan's charismatic dance (and smile!); from the incredbily unique-yet-cool concept to the intererting marketing tactics, I really think that F.Cuz will be able to make a ripple in an industry where everything is beginning to become formulaic.

AbracaWhaaat?

The Brown Eyed Girls comeback song “Abracadabra” took Korea by storm. Every Kpop idol attempts to do the dance on every variety show. Not only did the Brown Eyed Girls (BEG) comeback with a bang, they came back with an ultra sexy concept.
From a dance that shows off their hips by swinging them side to side to a sultry dance break during the song, BEG took over kpop charts this year.

Interpretation:

“Abracadabra” talks about a guy, but the guy seems to be juggling two girls at once. BEG takes on the role of one of the girls in the song, and voices her thoughts. The girl seems to be a former ‘sweet and innocent’ type slowing turning into a seductress to keep him, she says, “every night I’ll be with you. Do you love her?” She will do anything to be with him and keep him because she is going crazy without him.

With the title “Abracadabra” she plans on casting a spell on him to control and keep him only thinking of her.

New Boy Group Releases Teaser!

With the era of girl groups coming to an end, it's time for the boys to show fans what they've got, and it looks like this new group has "got" a lot!

As you could probably tell by the video, the group is called "F.cuz" and consists of four members. There is not much information about them, but let this teaser whet your appetite for now.

Their official debut is not until January 8, 2010.

Sorry, Sorry - Answer MV Released!

During Super Show II, a lot of Super Junior fans got to hear a special "R&B version" of their instant-hit song, "Sorry, Sorry." After composer Yoo Young Jin released his version, the boys finally have released their version with their official Super Show 2 DVD!

The boys also released a music video which closely resembles the mature, monochromatic, and sleek feel that was the concept of their Sorry, Sorry promotions. The song here is a little different from the one composer Yoo Young Jin sang.

Hi Guys!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks for all of you who are helping me.

Here's the thing:
I'm presenting on Kpop on Thursday (tell you all how it goes on Krome) and as much of a fan I am of all that is kpop and everyone that is kpop... I only have 8 minutes!! I can talk about groups/ppl in kpop I dont like in 8 minutes, what more ppl Im actually into?

This is where you come in. I decided to make my presentation on Concepts. I figure to people that dont know about kpop (my classmates) would be drawn to the whole 'concept' thing. So, this helps me narrow down the playing field. Basically most solo artists wouldnt make the cut, nor would ballad singers (sucky). If it was up to me, believe me, I would present ALL of kpop but I can't. It SUCKS to cut groups that I enjoy just because they dont fit in. I also dont want to overload my classmates with TOO many groups you know?

In addition to my Concept angle, in an attempt to get away with adding more groups, I decided to add a part about names. Kpop has some strangely named groups. But with these, I will barely spend about a minute or so on ALL of them (unless they've had some concepts to them).

So far I have: TVXQ!, SNSD, f(x), Big Bang, Se7en, BoA, Epik High, 2pm, Clazziquai P., Drunken T, BEG, WG, Rain, SS501, SJ, MBLAQ, 2NE1, B2ST,SHINee, FiNKl, SHINWHA, FT Island, 2am, ...
Thanks to all the folks helping out on Twitter. This list alone though is too big. So, lend me your suggestions and maybe a reason (not necessary) and that might help me sort things out.

You're Beautiful: Impressions

With only two episodes left, I still have no idea what direction this drama is taking.

I first heard about "You're Beautiful" because Lee Hongki was set to make his return to acting in the drama. However, once I started watching the show, the story drew me in, just as much as the story for Boys Over Flowers did.

The story centers around the life of the popular fictitious group A.N. JELL. The three members of AN JELL are Hwang Tae Kyung (played by jang Geun Suk), Kang Shin Woo (played by rookie actor Jung Yong Hwa), and Jeremy (Lee Hongki's character). Each member has a completely different personality, ranigng from "charismatic" to "energetic." To this trio of singers, a fourth is added, but that's where the twist comes in. The singer Go Mi Nam, is supposed to join the group, but, as he's away in America, the group's manager manages to convince his twin sister, Go Mi Nyu, to join in his place, only until Go Mi Nam returns, however. Go Mi Nam's return is continuously delayed, which gived Go Mi Nyu the chance to get to know the other group members.

Without giving too much away, Go Mi Nyu (known as Go Mi Nam to the group members), gets involved in a love...pentagon. Not only does every member of AN JELL manage to fall in love with her (what a lucky girl!), but another girl is added into the already complicated drama dynamic, in the form of a fake lover of Jang Geun Suk (UEE of After School).

For a cast filled with such young actors, I think they're doing a stellar job, and it's one of the reasons I keep watching the series (that, and Hongki is just too adorable!!). I'm torn because I don't know what's going to happen--I want to know how it ends, but at the same time, I'm afraid that not everyone can become happy in the end, so I want it to keep going until then. With the last two episodes airing next week, to those who have watched it: what are your impressions thus far, and how do you think it's going ot end? To those who haven't: Where have you been all this time?!

Review: Super Junior Vol 3 [Repackage]

Before their comeback earlier this year, I had not heard much of Super Junior, aside from Kim Bum (who, I admit, was only interested in because he shared the same name as the Boys Over Flowers actor). One day, while casually browsing the web, I came across a preview of their new song, Sorry, Sorry. Instantly, I was hooked.

Since then, I've cultured my love for Super Junior (I remember the game that I played to learn their names--Find Heechul) by watching their weekly performances on music shows, watching shows they have appeared in during their younger days (Full House? Explorers of the Human Body?), and, in general...watching anything I could about them.

Recently, I was lucky enough to be gifted with a copy of their 3rd album, and, after listening to it, I have to admit, I'm very pleased with the direction they've taken. Listening to their earlier work, I was certainly not disappointed, but I felt that something was missing. The earlier concepts seemed to lack a sort of sophistication, and did not appear extremely unified. For the third album, Super Junior opted to ditch the messy-jungle-themed clothing (During their "U" days, for example) and adopt a sleek, streamlined look. Although they've always had clean choreography, something appears even more cleaned-up about it for their Sorry, Sorry performances.

However, I digress. There is a wide range of sons on the album, and enough of a difference in them to please anyone. From the catchy, electronic songs like Sorry, Sorry, Why I Like You, and MONSTER, to the slower songs, like Let's Not..., Super Junior's third album has something everyone can listen to. The repackaged album increases the sweetness by adding four additional songs. Their second song for promotion, "It's You," made by the insanely popular composers, E-TRIBE, became an instant hit, and it's obvious why. The strong beat in the back, mixed with the smooth vocals made for a song that was guaranteed to be successful. In addition to "It's You," the rapackaged album contained three other songs. Their titles are "She Wants It," "Love You More," and "Love Disease." "She Wants It" is a shockingly different song, best described as a "hip-hop" song. Filled with Eunhyuk's and Shindong's rapping, it's refeshingly different. Love Disease is a softer song, and has a sweet melody. The last new song, "Love You More," is the debut song of the members Ryeowook and Sungmin as composers and lyricists. This song showcases all of the member's vocals, and is surprisingly well-written.

With all of the great things about this album, there are some downfalls as well. Unfortunately, most of the songs only showcase the vocals of the three members with the most powerful voices -- Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung. While this may be a smart move overall, I felt like osmething was missing when I didn't hear the voices of all the members. In addition, while there are some very memorable songs, others do not seem as strong.

However, despite it's minor shortcomings, I still recommend the album to any Super Junior fan, as it might be their best work yet.

Rome's Rant: Sailor Moon Live Action - A Review

So... I'm not gonna make excuses for myself about this post. Haha, let's just move right along with what it's about ok?Sailor Moon Live Action. Have you seen it? I'm currently watching it and I must say, it is the corniest thing I have EVER watched. What gives? But... for some reason I am glued to my computer screen watching this awkward show! Luna is a stuffed slightly glowing cat... ehh... the Youma (the bad creatures) are highly reminiscent of Power Rangers (In fact the whole show is highly reminiscent of power rangers!). The girls wear wigs too. The wigs are actually a great idea. I ALWAYS wonder how people can never recognize Usagi (Serena) and the others. I mean, in the anime, NO ONE else in the school has blue hair or blond pigtails. It's kind of a tell. So the wigs in the live-action are a brilliant idea. Then again, how funny would it be for the Ami (Amy...) actress to have dyed her hair blue.

I digress though, the show is actually a guilty pleasure. It might be out dated but honestly, a good story is a good story. Check out Boys Over Flowers-- It's been remade three times (four?) and the story still works! What IS it about these stories though? ... I suppose that question can be answered in another post.

Review:
It's a good watch. 50 episodes. About 25 minutes of show. The transformations are so killer; freaking amazing!! The hand motions they these girls do are awesome, I geek out over them each time. It's a bit sad. Confession: I tried to learn Sailor Moon's Transformation hands. I dare you to watch a couple of episodes. Tell me you didn't try to mimic the hand movements. The girls still have the whole friendship thing down, but it has another level to it. Unlike the anime, conflict between girls don't end in one episode, they continue to the next. They may not be the same conflict, but... what mean to say is they each earn each other's friendship. In the anime, it seemed that the fact that they were protectors was enough to bond them. The Live-Action has a bit more conflict in that area. The girls are pretty (for the most part) and it's interesting to see the greatest fan fiction romance take place amongst the 'real' Usagi and Mamoru. All in all, I think it's a good waste of time. ^_^

Rome's Rant: What's Gonna Happen to the Noky Brothers?

"Always Keep the Faith."This quote is synonymous with the one and only TVXQ! Anyone in kpop, upon seeing or hearing this quote knows whom it refers to and the phenomenon that backs it up. Unless you've been disconnected from kpop, cpop, or jpop for the past 4 months, then you know what's been going on. I'm neither going to summarize nor go into any of it. Because, quite frankly, it's depressing as well as frustrating.

In kpop, cpop and jpop a lot of the groups have certain "couplings" to them. One such coupling from TVXQ! is the 2-U couple. Yoochun (Mickey) and Yunho.

Towards the end of 2008, 2-U couple became "Noky Brothers." A mixture of 'No' from Yunho and 'Ky' from Mickey. Lately though, with the whole three vs. two thing that's up in the air.
It made me wonder what would happen to the fun "Soul Fighter" coupling of JaeJoong and Changmin, or the infamous and most popular "YunJae" couple of Yunho and JaeJoong. So, why dedicate a post to the Noky Brothers as opposed to the other couplings? Well the Noky Brothers, made their coupling official when TVXQ! tried to make Korea happier through the countries rough economy. They made themselves public.

So, what's going to happen to the Noky Brothers now? Honestly, I want to believe that their friendship is strong enough to be alright after this... rift, but...

In any case, I know I cannot be the only fan feeling this way. So I decided to post their message of happiness back from those good times. We have to somehow find a way to 'keep the faith' because right now, things aren't looking too great. So, to all TVXQ! fans who are having a hard time trying to "keep the faith" I hope this will help. You're not alone,...

20th Show: Andy Suzuki!!

To celebrate our 20th show we had the up and coming artist Andy Suzuki on the show! He let us know a little bit about his current on-going experience of trying to break into the Japanese music industry. If you missed this show, unfortunately, you missed out on a lot of laughs, a chance to get teary eyed and the possibility of swooning (he sang live on the show). Hey all!!

@EmpressB7 on twitter pointed out something that we should've made some sort of announcement for earlier. Our bad!

We've been a bit caught up with school, mixed schedules and exams. When Adio is free, I'm not. When I'm free, Adio isn't. And so a lot of our stuff didn't coordinate well... eep!

So, in regards to the play list that is up right now, the songs are from the 15th show play list (October Babies theme). We have yet to put the play list for our past show (the 17th show: Packed House). Below this post is the 16th show play list (Nostalgia).

Let's take a step back for a moment

I know with all that has been going on in the past few hours, many people are still awake following everything. With all of the information flying around, it becomes a challenge to sort truth from rumors. I want to keep this as factual as possible, so that all the readers looking for a news source can rest assured I have checked all of this information against more than one source. First, I'll give a brief background beyond what was given in Rome's previous post, to bring everyone up to speed.

On September 4, 2009, netizens brought to the surface comments Jaebum left on his myspace page several years before, while he was wtilla trainee for JYPE. Koreans reacted strongly to these comments, as they were deemed to be of a hurtful nature to Koreans and Korea. Shortly following this incident, it was announced that Jaebum's MC position on the TV show "Nodaji" would be cancelled and a replacement would be found for him. During this time, Jaebum wrote an apology message to everyone saying how sorry he felt for those comments he made years prior.

With the public still in an uproar, it was soon announced that all of 2PM's activities would be cancelled for the time being. It was also announced that the final episode of 2PM's hit show, "Wild Bunny," would be postponed. With all of the confusion about the issue, with many fans speculating and many people petitioning for the leader to leave, JYPE issued a statement on September 7 clarifying that they did NOT plan on Jaebum leaving the group due to this matter.

On September 8, Jaebum announced, via his fancafe, that he will be leaving 2PM. He took a flight that left Korea at 6:30 PM Korean time, and his destination is Seattle.

Okay, that's basically the story. Now, there are several things we DO and many others we do NOT know about this situation, and only time can offer us the answers.

Anyone who has been following the news over the past several hours has probably heard many rumors regarding what happened at the airport and such. I would like to dispel some of those rumors and clarify, to the best of my ability, what I can.

What We Know:
- Jaebum went to the airport to take a flight back to Seattle.
- Hundreds of fans showed up to show support for him, but, more importantly, to try to get him to stay.
- The other members of 2PM were at the airport.
- Jaebum said he planned on resting with his family upon his arrival in Seattle.
- As he left, his last words were "I'm Sorry" with a bow.

What We Haven't Confirmed/Is False:
- 2PM arrived at the airport in suits.
- Wooyoung fainted at the airport and was taken/is being taken to the hospital.
- The official explanation behind Jaebum's departure, and the repercussions.
- Junho will take over the role as the leader of 2PM.

Well, that's certainly not an exhaustive list of what we do and do not know, but it covers some of the major points.

I would like to begin this section not by speculating what COULD HAVE happened (but I have several theories...) but rather by sending out my condolences to Park Jaebum. After being personally selected by JYP himself, after training for five years, after seeing it through their first year, after becoming extremely popular through his antics on variety shows, Jaebum became immensely loved by his fans. Certain comments he made in the past surfaced soon after the one year anniversary of the group, and te reactions to these comments rapidly spread out of control, and led to Jaebum's departure. In a time like this, people look for someone to blame. I would like to make it clear that Korean citizens are not to blame in this situation. By the actions of a small group of people, this has happened, but that does not mean the entire citizenry of the country is at fault. It's clear to me that Jaebum has suffered more than any human being should over a matter such as this.

Understandably, his statements were not the most tactful way to voice his feelings, but he was much younger and at a stage in his life where he did not even know if he would ever become an idol, if he would ever debut. Coming from America, he felt alienated in this new country, and was not adjusting well enough. His remark seems to be nothing more "scandalous" than a remark any student that transfers from one school to another would make. However, due to his status as an idol, his words are scrutinized much more than the hypothetical transfer student.

What shocks me about this situation is the suddenness of it all. Less than one day after JYPE states that Jaebum will not be leaving 2PM, he makes a statement saying he is indeed leaving. This is quickly confirmed by JYP with Newsen. Hours after his announcement, Jaebum is at Incheon Airport, boarding his flight back to the US.

...I'm really sorry guys, I had a lot lot more to write, but it's an odd hour, and my thoughts are jumbled enough due to this without taking into account that my mind stops working when I am tired. I will make every effort to update with the rest of my thoughts by the end of the day, at which time, I would hope I can have more information for you.

Rome's Rant: The Jaebum Thing

When I first heard about this, I thought "damn, how's he gonna get out of this."

This is how I view this issue: It's like finding out your lover of 2 years cheated on you during the 1st or 2nd month of being together. Even though they did it a long time ago, it still stings like hell. What do you do? It happened a long time ago, and you know for sure now that he/she deeply cares for and about you, but the fact remains that he/she cheated on you...

Many blog entries I've read are feeling for Jaebum. I'm actually feeling more for his fans and his group, because even though he is being hit by the public how did his members and the people around him feel when they first found out? I'm sure those are the people who are hurt most cause they know him personally and it just sucks to find something like that out about a close friend, regardless of how long ago it was written.

The second thing I thought of was Nickkhun and other ppl who've gone through a similar adjusting process. But something to consider with Nickkhun is that he doesn't have the "Korean" aspect to him like Jaebum does. And so I think part of the hurt of the public is over them feeling a Korean is rejecting Korea. Regardless of whether he is Korean-American.

I'm not offering any solutions to this. Because, quite frankly, it sucks (for lack of a better word). I'm not Korean but when I read those myspace comments I was actually taken aback a little. Part of the Korean public might be over-reacting what with writing up a petition to send him back to America (lol), but I feel for them. I really do. They feel betrayed. But something as extreme as the petition kinda translates over to the lover scenario. Some people would want their significant other to pack up and live elsewhere. It's a knee jerk reaction of sorts. But once the situation has been given some time and thought... there comes a resolution.

In the public's defense, it's one of those issues where an apology helps but doesn't come close to fixing anything. In this case, people can only let time do its thing.

I'm undecided. I dont know what stance to take to be honest but I know I'm not at all for the petition to bring him back to the states, it's laughable. Again, I think with time, the Korean public in favor of the petition will think it over and be willing to forgive Jaebum.

When all is said and done he did write that as a kid. I have a younger brother and lord knows he has said and done things that have been very hurtful, but were brushed off because he's a kid. But again, for the deeply cutting stuff, it took time to get over.

I highly doubt 2PM is going anywhere over this. Jaebum might have to do more than an apology to get back in the general public's good graces, but this is only a set back for 2pm, not a career breaker.

Question of the Week (Q.o.W.): How do YOU define Music?
That's such a hard question...

Rome: Music is a language and I truly truly believe that. Many folks have issues, or just don't understand how not knowing a language isn't necessary at all to enjoy that language's music. To me, it doesn't matter. Music speaks for itself.

Adio: Music is an involuntary action. I always seem to find myself dancing to some random tune or beat where ever I am.

2PM is Missing Something...

To take my mind off of this great TVXQ! Debacle, I began to watch "Wild Bunny" starring 2PM!

In Idol Army, we got to catch a glimpse of what the guys were like. I thought Wild Bunny might take me a little bit deeper into their private lives. I was only expecting to watch an episode of it but... it was so funny that it captured my full attention. Their humor and randomness reeled me within the first 10 seconds of the first episode. The guys seemed so relaxed and didn't care what fans would think of them... they were so weird (and I liked it)! Just them being them cracked me and up and made me wanting more of the boys.

Throughout the 2 episodes I watched, it was non stop laughing (for the most part). Their interaction in Wild Bunny was more than what they did in the episodes I saw of Idol Army. ...but I couldn't help noticing that there was always something missing in the relationship and chemistry between the guys. In Wild Bunny they have inside jokes and are able to joke around with each other... which shows that they are now closer than before. But they still seemed to lack the 'brother bond' that most groups today have. When I say "brother bond" I mean the members of the group don't always seem to have each others back during situations where they should. I won't give details away about what made me think this, because it might spoil the show for some. But it's not just this show that has brought out awkward chemistry between the boys, it seems like it's always been there. They've always lacked that group IT factor that most other groups have.

Perhaps it's because they do not have the years under their belt that some other groups have but it would be unfair to compare 2PM's bond to groups like TVXQ!, Super Junior, or even SS501 who've been around and faced many falls and triumphs together. Or maybe because JYP Entertainment hasn't really had a male group and so they have no one to follow. Perchance it's because they really are the new generation of Kpop... where they don't censor or pretend to be something they aren't.

I really enjoy 2PM's music and love that they are so care free. I can't wait to see what more these boys have to share with us and hope that over time they will become closer. They are a growing group in the industry and at the pace they are going, they can accomplish a lot.
